DEEWR definitions and help files

Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) requires higher education institutions to provide data as part of the annual Student and Staff data collections and to generate data used for the Equity Profiles. To ensure the accuracy and consistency of the data, DEEWR has supplied software that allows institutions to check and validate the data.


The links below allow online access to the DEEWR help files. As much of the statistical data provided on this web site is extracted from the data prepared for DEEWR, access to the help files will assist users who wish to clarify their understanding of the data definitions and descriptors. The help files that contain a glossary and definitions for all collections, as well as data element dictionaries, data file formats and data validation specifications.
